How to Rehearse

I recognize that it's difficult to do something when you've never seen it done before, especially when you're in the position of stepping out of your comfort zone.

So I wanted to film an at home rehearsal of mine.

Within this video is the first time I've played this song since 2016 when I had it in a setlist. As I move through each part I try to play the song as smoothly and consistently as possible. But when I find parts of the song I struggle with, I go over that same section multiple times. No rhyme or reason to how many times I repeat; my goal is to go over the song as many times as I can with the allotted time I have, and the endurance of my muscles. When I'm ready I add in singing at half volume to get my brain used to doing the two things at once before I kick it up a notch by singing at full volume. All at a steady pace while giving myself grace along the way.
